I AM LEAVING MY BELOVED WORDPRESS ACCOUNT TO START USING THE TUMBLR ACCOUNT I OPENED LAST YEAR!
I THINK IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE, ESPECIALLY SINCE A FRIEND HELPED ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO TRACK MY STATS ON THE NEW BLOG, WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON I STAYED WITH WORDPRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!

This blog needs a make-over. Since wordpress is not the greatest site to customize my blog, I will have to work with what I’ve got. Thus, since you’ve been staring at the same layout for the past year, a few more days wouldn’t hurt.

So I started a side blog to post all my reviews since I find that this blog contains so many of them. Initially when I started my personal one, I wanted to be able to develop some sort of online portfolio, which clearly did not quite go that way. Thus, http://www.muchadoreviews.wordpress.com is the site I will be posting all my music, movie, books, concerts etc…reviews. Currently, I am the only one actively contributing to the site. A couple of my friends will be contributing occasionally. If you are interested in sending in a couple reviews as well, you can send me an email at muchadoreviews@gmail.com, along with your first name, last name (if you want) and personal website so that I may give you the credit, and a little exposure to your site. Not only will this site provide reviews on various topics, but it’s a way for others to get an idea of what books are worth reading, albums are worth buying, movies are worth seeing etc…who knows what will come of this. If it generates more traffic, and proves to be worthy of more time and effort, I will eventually buy a domain for it. Right now, wordpress will have to do. I will no longer be posting any sort of review on my personal blog, but I will definitely provide updates on here for you guys to check out the reviews blog, if there’s something I want to share!

I got home at about 2 in the morning and have been up ever since, working on a side blog. I am currently still fixing it up, but will definitely inform everyone of the website when it is more than half-decent. I’m just kind of tired of waiting for things to happen, and responses through email that are surely not coming. Thus, I am providing myself my own opportunity to pave the way towards what I really want. Last night I added almost 500 new songs to my ipod, so it’s nice to have that company as I’ve been typing incessantly upon this little netbook. I will find time to update this later with something more than a boring update. For now, I must get back to work.

I am the worst. I was successful at maintaining my social hiatus status for a mere three weeks. Not bad, but could be better. Just this past Friday I went out to my fave local bar Jack Astors, and though I didn’t indulge in any alcoholic consumption, my desire to do so was very strong. Then last night, I went out with a bunch of co-workers for a farewell get together of two of the people I hated to see leave. It was good times, to say the least. Once again, I was compelled to buy a bottle of wine and almost broke my two month streak of no drinking. I’m weak, what can I say? Though you’d be proud to know, I didn’t follow through with purchasing that bottle. I need some self-discipline in my life. I think after today, my social hiatus will once again commence. We’ll see how that goes. I think the most important thing to do is at least catch up on my work. Then maybe I wouldn’t feel so bad.
But for today, the weather outside is way to beautiful to ignore. I’d say it’s a lovely day to take some photos and reunite with my SLR, don’t you?

I absolutely adore Corinne Bailey. Her music and her voice are so refreshing to this music industry. I am so glad she’s finally back with a new record. I will review it, as soon as I have some time to really listen to it as a whole. From what I’ve heard so far, I wasn’t 100% impressed, and found that her first album was way better. That tends to happen a lot though. Eventually the music grows on me over time. Anyway, if you’ve never heard of her don’t speak to me unless you have a listen to some of her old stuff. She is one of my favorite current artists.
I am absolutely in love with this song, entitled Closer. If you don’t know her, get familiar! I have a feeling she’s going to be around for a really long time. At least I hope so.
